Unit Framework

OBJECTIVES:
7.2.1 - Recognize basic economic concepts (i.e., imports, exports, barter system, tariffs, closed and emerging markets, supply and demand, inflation, recession, depression).


7.2.2 - Define renewable and non-renewable resources.


7.2.4 - Interpret economic issues as expressed with maps, tables, diagrams, and charts.


7.2.5 - Select the major resources, industrial, and agricultural products for the three grand divisions from a map of Tennessee.

GUIDING QUESTION:
Do I understand how money is produced, consumed and transferred; and, can I connect that knowledge to using money in my everyday life?


MASTERY:
  • Students will correctly label and color pyramid. Students will pass quiz at the end of lesson with 80% accuracy. 
  • Exemplar will be shown to demonstrate mastery of objective.
  • Prior learning will be established through questioning strategies and vocabulary.

BEST PRACTICES:
  • Buddy Check cards will used to reinforce higher order thinking skills and reinforce content clarity.
  • Differentiation will be exhibited through the various methods of learning styles- visual , auditory, kinesthetic.
  • Students will be given multiple ways to engage content through webquests, various websites, interactive materials, and hands-on activities.
